Hi lovelies, This morning I have a new two page spread in my xoxo Mini Album all about my bestie Tosin. We’ve been friends since 7th grade and I love this girl to pieces!
Check out these dorky photos of us from elementary school and high school. I think we both look kinda ridiculous but I love these photos. The craziest thing, I realized I’ve never scrapped any of these photos and I’ve never made a layout all about how much I love this girl. I’m actually kinda embarrassed and disappointed in myself. How is it possible that I haven’t ever scrapbooked about one of my favourite people in the whole world. I’m so glad I could make this page and I’m so glad this mini album is encouraging me to write love letters to the people I really care about and get them scrapbooked.
I decided to use a bunch of my scraps and favourite supplies from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away Collection by Paige Evans. The first thing I did was to back this heart cut file with a bunch of my scraps. The thing I love about this is that it totally matches the rest of the album because these are the scraps from that album.
On the left-hand page I created my own journaling card by cutting down some of papers in my stash. I added the adorable, dorky photos of us. I did matt all the photos, just because I liked the way they look matted. I probably should have printed them that way, but I forgot – whoops.
After I stuck down all the photos I added some embellishments and labels to top off the page. Most of the embellishments come the Take Me Away Collection, while the Thickers and labels came from my stash.
After I was done, I added my little love letter… dear Tosin… xoxo, Tori. Seriously there was so much I could have written… I probably should make a whole album just about Tosin. Adding that to the to do list.
The layout was pretty quick to make – what took the longest was backing that cut file, but I didn’t even mind – I enjoy that process. And I love the layout even more because it gave me the opportunity to scrap about Toast (aka Tosin… that’s my nickname for her and it’s a long story :p).
