January is here… 2017 is here… and it’s time for new projects and new goals and new dreams. Well, I’ve decided in 2017 my scrappy plans are going to be to work on theme projects and mini albums and to get back to making more scrapbook layouts (my favourite). My plan is to create a different mini book or theme project every month – not sure how this will all work out, but that’s the plan.
Well, my January project is going to be a 6×8 mini album called xoxo. I’m going to make a whole album all about all the people I love, why I love them and a little love letter to them.
The thing I really love about this plan is that I get to start and finish a project. I love the process of creating December Daily which has a theme and has a start date and an end date. So I really wanted to try and recreate this passion project throughout the year of 2017. I also really love how these mini books and theme projects can use one or two collections and have a consistent look throughout the album.
I decided to use the black and white polka dot album I received from Felicity Jane in my Hello Christmas kit. The best part – it’s available in the shop individually. Isn’t it lovely!
I picked two of my favourite collections and decide these would be the products I use.
The first collection I picked was the Take Me Away Collection by Pink Paislee and Paige Evans Taylor.
Isn’t it just dreamy and bright and happy and seriously just delightful? Not to mention I love Paige to pieces!
In today’s process video I’m creating the cover page and chatting all about the process and plan for this album. I got started by using the STUNNING acetate and alphabet stickers from the Take Me Away Collection.
Seriously, the bright colourful pretty cover just makes me want to jump for joy and get started creating. If you’d like to check out the process video you can find that here:
I hope you will follow along with me throughout this journey of documenting the people and things I love. And I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT if you considered playing along with me and making your own xoxo album. Let me know if you have any questions.
xoxo
