I need to be at 100% by September 10th, the financial deadline, so I can go to RVA in October. I still have a way to go, but I know this goal can be reached with your help.
They Aren't Forgotten
One of the reasons, I feel really called to serve at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) is because I understand the unique experience of the students - I grew up as a missionary and pastor's kid too. Imagine if your parents became missionaries and packed you up and moved you to the other side of the world. How would you feel?
Often missionary kids struggle with their faith, feeling lonely, judged, or forgotten - through my teenage years, I know I felt that way. I want to be there for them - let them know they are loved, cared for and not forgotten. My heart aches to help draw them to the Lord and support them as they grow in their faith. As the Child Safety Coordinator, my role will be child safety but I also will have the privilege to pour into these students, disciplining them as they grow. I know RVA is the right place for me BUT I need help getting there.
