Today is a really good day! REALLY good!!! A little while ago I received an email from Alice from ScrapHappy asking if I would be interested in being one of the featured designers for LOAD517 Legends of Hollywood. If you don't know what LOAD is... it's an epic online class and scrapbooking challenge to get you scrapbooking and telling your stories on your layouts.
Every day for a month you will receive an email with a link to the daily prompt. After watching a short video your challenge is to scrapbook and post your layout in the Flickr gallery by the end of the day. It's incredible because everyone is using the same prompt - it's basically an inspiration bomb in your email EVERY SINGLE DAY.
If you'd like to join LOAD for hear more about it, please visit http://www.scraphappy.org/load517/
Today I was inspired by "A Trip to the Moon" directed by Georges Melies in 1902. I was encouraged to use "special effects" on my layout. I had tons of fun creating this layout with clear transparencies and embossing.
If you'd like to check out the process video for this layout, you can find it here:
For more information about my layout, supplies used and additional photos I recommend checking out LOAD517.
P.S. I used some of the awesome papers and designs from my April collection, Bliss. You can check that collection out here.
