You know that moment when you open up a new collection and it takes your breath away and you can’t wait to use it? Well that’s exactly how I felt when my good friend Heather sent me the Holiday Style collection from Wild Whisper her new company. Gha it’s stunning!

Today I’ve joined the sweet ladies over at Wild Whisper for a blog hop. I’m so thrilled about this because Wild Whisper is a new Canadian paper company that is also carrying boutique embellishments. As soon as I opened the collection I knew I needed to use it in my December Daily this year. So….. I got right to creating my Reason Why page(s). 

Well one page kinda spilled into 4… but that’s okay right. When you’re playing with your supplies sometimes you just can’t help yourself. Well I created a quick process video… check it out:

I thought you might want to check out the text from my Reason Why:

As I remember the reason for this season – I stand awe of the grace of God. Christmas is an overwhelming expression of God’s love through the greatest gift the world has ever received – Christ.

The dictionary defines grace as the free and unmerited favour of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. Anne Lamott once said, “I do not understand the mystery of grace – only that it meets us were we are and does not leave us where it found us.”

The truth is, I do not fully understand or grasp the gravity of God’s grace but I want to.  This Christmas I want to strip back all the glitter, all the glam, lights, presents and decorations and come to a deeper understanding of God’s redeeming love, his sacrifice and his grace.

Lamentations 3:23 says that His grace is “new every morning.” During the whole month of December I want to wake up every day and discover his grace in a new way.

As I participate in December Daily, I want to capture grace – the most beautiful, undeserved, unmerited, unearned gift of God. I want to receive grace, give grace, live grace and document grace.

His grace covers me. This is all I know. This is all I need. THIS is what it is ALL about.
