In today’s video I’m working on December 9th and I was working on the back of day 8’s 2×2 pockets page protecter. I only had a couple of photos to play with so I had to figure out what to do with the rest of the pockets. A HUGE part of me wanted to fill every single pocket with chunky embellishments – you know how much I love my embellishments. But I also knew my album is starting to look pretty fun. So instead I decided to go flat … or well I tried to go flat.
I printed the 4 photos I had for the day 2×2 using my cannon selphy. I often have people ask me how I do that, well… it’s all thanks to an amazing app on my phone called Pic Stitch. I’ve done an app review on my channel, if you want to check that out.
After I printed off my pictures I grabbed this amazing acetate divider from last year’s December Daily kit from Ali Edwards. I love this acetate but I’ve also really struggled with how to use it – that is until I saw someone (sorry I can’t remember who) cut the circles a part. So I grabbed my scissors and got to work.
I placed one of those gold acetate circles in each of the empty pockets. The plan was to leave it there…but as you can tell I couldn’t stop the magic of Christmas embellishments.
I pulled out a bunch of pretty little black, white and gold embellishments and threw some of those into each of the pockets as well. Please note: I did really try and keep it flat… okay flatER than usual.
A couple enamel dots, die cuts, puffy stickers, sequins, acrylic pieces later and I was done. Except for, it was right about now that I realized I had completely forgotten do do ANY journalling. Thank goodness for label stickers – seriously, what would I do without them.
Well that pretty much wraps up day 9… if you want to check out the photo of the story and a process video where I chat through my thought process… you can find that here:
Can’t wait to share day 10 with you – check back tomorrow!
xoxo Tori
