December Daily 2016 – Day 6

December 6th was a really, really good day! I’ve always wondered what it would be like to teach an in person scrapbooking class and today I had the opportunity to do that. The blessing to do that. On December 6th I taught a mixed media tag class at the Workshop, a local scrapbooking store here in Stouffville.

Since I had a blast, I knew this would be the perfect thing to document in my December Daily. I had a number of sample tags that I had demonstrated techniques on and knew that these would be the perfect addition to my layout.

I took a few photos of some of the tags the ladies made and layered those with three of those sample tags on the back of the brown paper bag from the day before. I grabbed a couple die cuts I had in my stash, some black puffy stickers and white pearls from Freckled Fawn and I love it! I feel like it’s the perfect snapshot of my class and a really fun way to share some of the ladies creations.

I knew I wanted some way to include a photo of the class and some way to add a little bit of journaling, so I grabbed one more of those sample tags and decided to stick in into the album by punching holes in it. I added some messy journaling lines with a permanent marker, added my journaling, stamped the date and finished it off with some white pompom trim from Felicity Jane.

I seriously had a blast teaching the class. I learned so much about myself, how to explain things and how to encourage people. I put myself out there, faced my fears, and tried something that scared me. I realized that I really enjoy teaching in person classes. I’m so glad that I included this in my album so I can remember this moment for years to come. To me, that’s what December Daily is all about…documenting those moments.

xoxo Tori
