Whoops… forgot to post to my blog for yesterday’s December Daily page. Well better late than never right. Yesterday I shared the video on my channel and today I’ll share the blog post and some photos.
On December 3rd, I made a super quick 1 page spread. And I love how it turned out.
On the 3rd I made cookies for a cookie exchange I was going to go to the next day. My mom also wanted to bake cookies with me. 5 hrs, 4 different cookies, 17 dozen cookies later and the kitchen, our aprons and my hair was covered with flour.
I included a photo of my favourite cookbook – a Betty Crocker cookbook which belonged to my grandmother. I also included a photo of my favourite puppy, Bernie, who sat outside the kitchen begging to come into the kitchen the whole time. I kept the embellishments really simple, just adding my number from Felicity Jane a speech bubble from Bernie, rubber charm from Ali Edwards, and a couple enamel dots.
My love language is definitely spending quality time with people so it truly was a blessing to be able to spend my day that way.
For me, this is what December Daily is all about – document little moments, precious quality time, family traditions/heirlooms…documenting it and putting it down in paper.
And the best part, it didn’t take a ton of time. This whole page took me about 16 minutes. I did make a quick process video, if you want to check it out you can find it on my channel here
