There are some winter activities that just scream Christmas to me… gingerbread house decorating is one of those activities. I LOVE decorating gingerbread houses! On December 21st the girls in my Bible study came over and we had a blast hanging out, chatting and decorating houses. Of course we also enjoyed some sweets right.
A cute little house needs a cute little page for my December Daily right. I grabbed a large tag from my stash and decided to create an insert to go in the packaging from the 20th. I decided to grab some paper to cover the tag and I found this stunning Ugly Christmas Sweater pattern from Wild Whisper. I matted my photo on some silver POW paper and added a few embellishments from Felicity Jane.
I think I’ve discovered I have an addiction of making embellishment clusters. Seriously, what’s wrong with me.. I CANNOT put just one embellishment down….3,5,or 7 only. But it looks so pretty. Is embellishment rehab a thing? I might just have to go. Just kidding… I don’t want to kick this habit. :p
The top of the tag might just be my favourite. I added this adorable polar bear paper clip from the Snow and Cocoa collection by Crate Paper. I even created my own hole reinforcer with a hole punch and a 5/8 of an inch circle punch. Finished it off with my chipboard number for the day and some staples… seriously does it get any cuter?
I added my journaling on the back of the tag using an old journaling card from my stash.
By the way… check out that gorgeous ombré plus sign paper… it’s a Wild Whisper design from the Holiday Style collection and it makes my heart go pitter patter. I’ve been dying to find the perfect project to use that paper on… and I think I finally found it.
Once I was all done creating my tag I stuck it in the blue envelope packaging from the day before.
I seriously ADORE the way that paper peeks out and the polar bear is hanging out up there. Not only do I love interactive elements like this in my album, I feel like it just invites you to look at the tag. EAK it’s so cute!
