Support Update and Financial Deadline 14 Days Away:

QUICK UPDATE: I'm at 90% of the amount I need to raise in monthly support. Every $50 represents another crayon coloured in on this support tracker and I only need 5 more ($250 a month).

My outgoing budget is currently at 81% of the total $24,000 needed for flights, housing set up, training, etc. I only need $4,542 to hit this target.

My financial deadline is only 14 days away! I need to be at 100% by September 10th, the financial deadline, so I can go to RVA in October. We're so close!
Can you believe I'm leaving in 43 days! I've been busy fundraising, packing, saying goodbye, wrapping up projects, and finishing my Biblical requirements. I feel like time is flying!

Calling all Prayer Warriors:

I’m trying to gather a team of people who would be willing to keep me in their prayers in this next transition to Kenya. Are you in?

I just started to use an app called ECHO to share some "in the moment" prayer requests. It’s a great resource for keeping track of requests, being reminded to pray, and setting timed prayer sessions. I can share updates instantly and let you know when they've been answered and you can even leave comments. I’ve loved using it the past few weeks and I would really appreciate your prayers.

All you need to do is download the app and then let me know which email you've used and I can add you to the private group.
*Not an app/tech person? Let me know and I can email you updates instead.

Disappointing News About My Eyesight:

Last week I went to the optometrist for a follow-up after my concussion. While I am back to normal I was wondering if my prescription had changed a bit.  I had been noticing it was harder for my eyes to adjust and sometimes things were blurry - which in turn was leading to sore eyes and headaches.  Unfortunately, the appointment revealed that I have something called a midline shift and accommodative insufficiency. Basically, as a result of my concussion, my eyes shifted and are no longer centered and they struggle to focus.  I have to get specialized glasses, along with my prescription, I will need special lenses to help adjust for the shift. Due to the concussion, I will also need to wear the glasses full time instead of simple reading glasses like before. The new glasses are quite expensive and being that they are specialized I will need to buy two pairs. It is unlikely I will be able to get replacements while in Africa if anything happens. While I'm shocked and disappointed by this news, I'm glad I found out now before my big move. I understand these glasses should really help.

Are you willing to commit to monthly support by praying and giving an amount ($10, $25, $50, $100) each month? I only need $250 to hit the target. Will you help make this possible?

One-time gifts are also appreciated as they help with flights and moving expenses. I only need $4,542 to hit my outgoing budget.
