100 Days Of Less Hustle More Jesus // Day 9: Dare to Downshift

"Jesus, I carry so much that you never intended me to. I need your wisdom to make priorities and your grace to heal perfectionism. Thank you for never giving up on me." Today's prayer in the 100 Days of Less Hustle More Jesus devotional was exactly what I needed to hear in my life. I seriously take on way more than I need to be carrying and this was a beautiful reminder that I don't need to be doing this and that this wasn't what he intended for us.

I created this page using some One Canoe Two stickers from this awesome sticker book. I know these sticker books were expensive but they were seriously one of the best scrapbooking investments I've made because there are so many awesome stickers.

I began this page by spelling out the word priorities using some gold letter stickers as my focus for today was to come up with guiding principles for priorities. Healthy, God-honoring ways to say yes or no to set those priorities properly.  I then added the letters for "Godly Guidelines and" which could go before the word "priorities".

I'd love to know what are some of the guiding principles you have for how you set your priorities. You can leave a comment below or on the video.

After that, I started jotting down some of the guiding principles I came up with.

  • Does this honour God?
  • Have I prayed about this?
  • Do I have peace about this?
  • Can I use my God-given gifts adn talents?
  • If I say yes am I taking a learning opportunity away from someone else?
  • Do I have time?
  • Do I have other commitments?

I think this might be a life long journey of adding and understanding how to apply these. So this is a good start but there's more work to do.

Once I was done that, I finished the page off with some gorgeous transparent floral stickers from the sticker book.
