Day 2 in the 100 Days of Less Hustle More Jesus devotional is all about being filled with the Lord so that we can take care of ourselves. When our to do lists feel overwhelming and we are running on empty we really have nothing left we can give.
The prayer in today's devotional really spoke to my heart and inspired today's page. "Lord I know I can't do it all. I'm sorry for the times I try. Help me honour you by taking care of me. - Amen"
With my imminent move to Kenya looming it feels like my list of things to get done just keeps growing and I feel exhausted on the daily. There are things I need to get done at work, with friends, personally, packing and more. So I began this page by putting down and writing down all the things that immediately came to my mind that were on my to-do list. In a way, I was coming before the Lord and laying these things at his feet. I ended up covering the whole page with all the things that were on my heart and mind right now - and while I did that I prayed "Lord take these." Honestly, it was so freeing to just know that I don't need to hold all of these things on my shoulders... he is there to support me through this.
Once I had written down all of the things that immediately came to my mind on my to do list, I decided to add some layers of embellishments to cover them up with the message of hope the Lord was speaking into my heart. As I studied the passage today, I really felt like God was saying, "Tori, I've got this. I've got you. Why are you carrying all of this when I've got this and you?"
After grabbing some adorable die cuts from the flourish collection by Crate Paper, I added a mini doily, some tracing paper and a couple of touches of washi tape. I topped it off with a gold paper clip from Freckled Fawn, the stamped date, and some journaling.

I bet as you watched today's video you can think of the ton of things on your to do list too. Will you join me in releasing those to the Lord and praying that we will trust him through it all.
xoxo, Tori
